Terms of Service

Verified Profyle helps candidates create verified professional profiles and helps employers review those profiles with context. Features may change from time to time as we improve the platform.

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use Verified Profyle. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity on your account.

You retain ownership of the content you upload, including your CV, video introductions and profile information. By uploading content you grant us a limited licence to host, display and share it as necessary to provide the service, including with employers and referees you choose to engage with.

You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to share it. You must not upload content that is unlawful, misleading, offensive or infringes the rights of others.

When you nominate a referee, you confirm that they have agreed to be contacted on your behalf. Referees provide their responses in good faith. Verified Profyle facilitates the request but is not responsible for the content of references submitted by third parties.

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or to harass, defraud or impersonate others.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Scrape, harvest or reuse candidate or employer data outside the intended flow of the platform.
• Upload malicious code or content that could damage the service or its users.

Employer users must use candidate information only for legitimate recruitment purposes and in accordance with UK data protection law. Employer users are responsible for their own hiring decisions and for complying with equality and employment legislation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or that pose a risk to other users. You may close your account at any time. On closure we will delete or anonymise your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We work hard to keep Verified Profyle available and reliable but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to this, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the greater of £100 or the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where the changes are material we will let you know by email or through the platform and ask you to accept the updated Terms before continuing.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
