• Account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed), role (candidate or employer).
• Profile data: CV content, work history, skills, certifications, video introductions and other information you choose to provide.
• Reference data: details of referees you nominate (name, email, relationship) and the responses they submit.
• Usage data: log data, IP address, device and browser information, and pages visited, collected for security and service improvement.
• Communications: records of emails and messages sent through the platform.

We process personal data on the following legal bases:

• Contract: to provide the Verified Profyle service you have signed up for.
• Legitimate interests: to keep the platform secure, prevent fraud, improve our service and communicate about your account.
• Consent: for optional communications and where required by law. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose information to comply with UK law.

We only share personal data where necessary to deliver the service or comply with the law. This may include sharing your profile with employers you choose to apply to, sharing reference requests with your nominated referees, and sharing data with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (for example hosting, email delivery and analytics). We do not sell personal data.

Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy decisions issued by the UK government.
